playing badminton wif veron , Haiqi n Winnie todae.Ha.. was soooo entertaining wif the humorous veron around.. tend to call her my mum already ..aniway .. after the 2 hrs of game , went to eat in The Deck n met Jeslyn. When I was about to turn back , suddenly i tripped n almost sprained my ankle b4 regaining balance. 2 pairs of hand reached for me too late, one's Jeslyn n the other's my sweet darling. nvm ... I appreciate their efforts.Thank u ! =) den rushed to do tutorial 2 for stats which mi n winnie were stuck in the 1st qn. but managed to slve it in the end.We did 2 qns in 1hr's time. Not bad.den spent time wif my darlin. did stat tut 2 finish except for 2 qns in the middle.When I reached home by taxi .. carry so much stuff.. I rushed to do my preparation presentation for tomorrow n last min blog.. which is now .. gotta slp now .. ZZZzzZ..

todae i went to west coast park for SSA family day. woa.. tired n fatiqued. My ma was doing glitter tattoing, my bro was participating in a costume show wearing recycled tire and metal plate ,plus a sword(he really look like Alexander the Great ), and I was participating in a bicycle decor competition wif my friends Cheryl,Siew Kuang,Laticia,MeiHui, YanSheng ... all the NUS ppl out there .... I got suntanned on my face n hands. haha. tomorrow u all will see a bbqed lonewolf.I also went to the beach with Crystal, a new friend i made who is in the science fac. in NUS now majoring in Chem.We reflected upon our life so far and it was really a insightful and refreshing experience tokking to her.Arghh!! I haven been studying much tis weekend!! Mus start now!!

Sat: Got my Toshiba Potege A100 notebook!
Sun: My bd party from my mum's side !!! received so many useful pressies from my friends .The most wonderful thing is they brighten up my day by chasing me to inflict chocolate cream on my upper body!! =) My best friend came, despite her hectic schedule of giving tuition at nite.My COUSIN came!! yea! was so happy i kinda burst into tears when i saw her .My darling gave me a classical guitar!! =))
Mon : RE 1180 1st lecture was lively n enlightening.Both lecturers were very focused to finish the lecture with precision. Met Suraj for a mini tea n figuring how to connect my com to the NUS domain.
Tue: Preparing my music pieces (2) for performance on Oct (mooncake festival).Finished them.Spent time wif my significant other n friend. I heard Dee and Rafe getting fatter. Must try to change their diet(less sunflower seeds!!)Watched twin effects 2 , which me n patrick tink is a lame storyline n characters.Shld have watched the notebook instead.
Wed: went for ST1131 lect.had a bit of prob regarding the i notation for x.Went to Yusof Ishak house to eat n lent my friend the instructor's version of the music score to copy.Den went to Study room to finish up reading Stat Chapt. 1.2 n do up my notes. Went home ,printed my Stat tutorial out .Tired . Slept for 1hr. Met my friend for dinner . Friend surprised me wif a coffee bd cake .woa .. this week gonna get fat eating 3 bd cakes.. = x

Today I just receive admission letter from the admin dept. in NUS:

Dear Marie Arising from a vacancy in ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in academic year 2004-2005, I am pleased to inform you that we wish to offer you admission to this course. We regret that we are unable to contact you by phone this morning.
Please reply to us by 6 August 2004, 5.00pm, informing us if you are accepting the offer. If we fail to receive a reply from you by then, it is assumed that you wish to turn down the offer.
If you wish to accept the offer of admission, the following will be the administrative procedures you have to complete:
1) Attend late matriculation at the Registrar's Office, 2nd Level, University Hall. When you have accepted the offer, we will advise you when you should appear for matriculation.
You need to bring along one passport-sized photograph for the matriculation card. If you have earlier enrolled in another course, you do not need to bring the photograph but to produce your matriculation card.
2) The official offer letter to Arts/Social Sciences and matriculation package will be handed to you at the Registrar's Office.
Should you have any problems regarding your matriculation, please ask to see Ms Autumn Ong, Registrar's Office.
3) You should note that the last date for matriculation is Wednesday, 11 August 2004. However, it is advisable to matriculate as soon as you can so as to participate in the bidding of modules in the Faculty of Arts/Social Sciences.
I appreciate your concerns over the registration for modules since online registration has started. If you wish to enquire on module bidding/late registration, please contact the following staff from the Faculty of Arts/Social Sciences:

I append below a list of FAQ for your reference:
a) Do I still need to bid for modules or could I just forward the list of modules that I wish to take up and the Faculty will assist me accordingly?
You will have to bid for the modules through CORS. You can also keep the current Faculty modules that you already have and count them towards Breadth or Unrestricted Electives after the transfer. If you do not wish to keep these modules, you can drop them before 16 August 2004 and get 50% refund of points. If you already have GEMs and Singapore Studies modules, these can also count towards the FASS graduation requirements. FASS can only provide some help if you do not have enough modules to read at the end of bidding. Bidding ends on Monday, 16 August 2004.
b) Some of the modules have been fully subscribed too. Will the faculty be able to assist me? You should consider modules that still have vacancies or bid for these fully subscribed modules in subsequent Semester when they are offered again. All FASS Exposure Modules are offered in both Semesters 1 and 2.
c) Do I need to unregister the modules that I have bid for earlier? Can I keep the GEM or SS modules? No, you do not need to unregister. You can keep everything that you have already secured. Please refer to pt. (a) above.
d) Will the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) re-run another session for the Curriculum Structure Talk?
FASS is holding a repeat run of the Curriculum Structure Talk this Friday for new students. Those students who are interested to take up these late offers should be advised to attend this talk. The details are as follows:
Date: Friday, 6 August 2004 Time: 2.30pm Venue: LT11
You are should also be advised to view our webcast recordings of the Orientation Talks on individual subject/major on the FASS web at: http://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/undergrad/curr_matters.htm
You should also download a copy of the Modular System 2004 Cohort at the same link.
The above will be the last run of the Curriculum Structure Talk. If you miss it, you will have to refer to the webcast recordings of the Orientation Talks on the curriculum structure and individual subject/major on the FASS web at the above website. FASS will also be giving you a circular to further assist you as soon as you have accepted the offer. If you have further queries on the curriculum, please do not hesitate to contact FASS directly.
d) Do I need to take the Qualifying English Test (QET)? If you have obtained a GP grade of less than B4, you will be required to sit for the QET. You will be informed by Registrar's Office (RO) as soon as they are able to. The QET is expected to be held at the end of next week. However if you have already taken the QET in NUS earlier, you will not be required to re-sit for it and you will not get any notification email from RO. If you are a current student from NTU and you are taking the Arts and Social Sciences offer, and you have already sat for the QET at NTU, kindly provide your QET results/or other document proof (if you have received your results) to RO before you are given the exemption from QET at NUS.

haf passed the audition! Now I'm in JJ GENUS student orchestra.*elated* Quite tired throughout the orientation week.Affecting my moods and the ppl I love around me . Feeling guilty.Quite excited about my new laptop coming on perhaps 13th Aug.It's a Toshiba Potege A100! White Chassis!!512Ram ,Pentium M 1.4Gz!!De onli bad thing about it is tat I can't play high graphic card games.Veron n Winnie who knew was lik saying " Marie!!! U should not be playing computer games in your laptop!!"Haha ..Tat's how crazy I am into computer games.
Wat happens if more than one person fight for your attention?Sigh.Looking forward to my birthday party.For those who wanna go , it's at The Dew(EC) at Bukit batok st.21 ,BBQ pit (near the function room) on 15th Aug 6pm.I look forward to see u all there. The other day I went to Palawan Beach on e orientation week? It was my first time playing water captain's ball in the seawaters n I enjoyed myself tremendously-in my group of friends(we r Table soccer champions!!),in the beautiful scenery,the chance to see 2 couples taking marriage photos on the long bridge.,playing hard hasn't been so fun for quite some time in my life.

1st day of Uni life was a joke.
1) the faculty dressed us up lik potential waitresses n waiters
2)Student leaders timing wif the profs was all wrong n u can see them deliberately slowing down,den giving up and speeding up again.(during inauguration ceremony)
3)stupid cameramen zooming in on sleeping student as well as a too-passionate lead choirboy whose expression was ..well... one of a kind..
well at least all went well during the icebreaking games .. i get to know all of my admin classmates.

juz came back from guitar ensemble welcome tea.Actually I wasn't planning on going for any cca,but the passion i find in guitar music gave me the courage to turn up for the tea.The audition's next sat.must prepare a piece of music.They r really fun to be wif n i lik their repertoire of sings. sigh. met a few interesting freshmen.Hmm... I better improve my guitar skills.We went for dinner @ harbourfront.1st time there.ambience not as quiet as i tot it would be from the recommendations of my JJC friends.Had a rejuvenating night of love wif my darling.
